Change ordinary pants into Haute Couture Jeans for mere pennies! Dress up your jeans with just some blanket binding and floral trim. It’s easy and a great way to give a fresh look to your old pair of jeans.
Materials
- Wrights® Satin Blanket Binding (#117-794-090)
Measure the width of the pant leg and purchase the amount of binding based upon that measurement, plus 1 1/2” - Wrights® Jacquard Floral Trim (#184-7008-001)
Measure the width of the pant leg and purchase the amount of binding based upon that measurement, plus 1 1/2” - 1 Straight Leg Cargo Style Jeans
- Scissors, Iron, Glue, Fusing Strips or
Needle and Thread
Instructions
- Cut two pieces of blanket binding the width of the pant leg plus 1 1/2 inches.
- Press open seam in binding.
- Cut four pieces of trim, the length of blanket binding.
- Stitch, glue or fuse two pieces of trim to the top and bottom edges of the blanket binding, making a “cuff”.
- Line bottom of cuff up with bottom hem of pant leg. Stitch, glue or fuse to jeans.
- Stitch, glue or fuse the top edge in place on jeans.
- Add a colorful scarf or piece of trim through belt loops for the final accent.
