This holiday fleece throw is perfect for fireside cuddling. Make one to keep and one to give!
Materials
- 3 yds berry fleece
- 1 yd sage fleece
- 1/2 yd loden fleece
- 1/8 yd ivory fleece
- 3 skeins ivory pearl cotton
- Patterns
Directions
- Cut two 48″x54″ pieces of berry fleece.
- Enlarge tree template 800% and cut from sage fleece.
- With pearl cotton, blanket stitch tree to berry fleece.
- Enlarge scroll template 200% and cut four scrolls from loden fleece. Stitch to tree.
- Cut balls from ivory and berry fleece. Blanket stitch to tree.
- To make fringe, cut top and bottom edges of berry fleece. Cut 7″ into fleece at ½” intervals. (Repeat for backing). Knot several pieces of fringe together, including front and back.
- Blanket stitch with pearl cotton around side edges of throw. (See blanket stitching instructions below.)
Blanket Stitching Instructions
Bring the needle up through the fabric at A. Insert at B & come up at C in a single motion, keeping the thread under the tip of the needle.
Pull the needle through the fabric. Continue making vertical stitches in this manner.
To finish a row of stitches, take a tiny stitch over the last stitch.
